Privacy Statement
Use of Personal Data (Authors and Reviewers)
The names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, and ORCID identifiers entered on the Scripta Scientia website will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of editorial management, peer review, and academic communication of this journal.
- Non-commercialization guarantee: This data will not be available for any other purpose, nor will it be shared, sold, or transferred to third parties (including marketing companies or commercial databases) under any circumstances.
- Communications: Registered users will receive only notifications related to the editorial workflow of their submissions or, if they have explicitly consented, direct academic calls from the ChauxLab Institute.
Privacy of Research Participants (Patients)
Scripta Scientia strictly adheres to international standards for the protection of patient privacy (Declaration of Helsinki, ICMJE guidelines).
- Anonymity: Authors must ensure that no identifiable patient information (names, initials, medical record numbers, exact dates of birth) is included in descriptions, photographs, or pedigrees, unless such information is essential for scientific purposes and the patient (or their legal guardian) has provided written informed consent for publication.
- Consent: In cases where identification is possible (e.g., facial photographs or highly specific cases), the journal will request from the author proof of specific informed consent for publication. In the absence of such consent, the material will be rejected or must be fully anonymized (e.g., pixelation of eyes), provided this does not distort the scientific meaning.
User Rights
Any user registered on the platform as an author or reviewer is entitled to request the rectification of their personal data or removal from the system («right to be forgotten») at any time by contacting our technical office: soporte@scriptascientia.com.
